Creating a Healthy Crawl Space in Corfu, NY
Challenge
The Pembroke Community Church had a crawl space with constant water problems. Over time, the water could cause significant damage to the structure of the church. They knew they had to act quickly, so they called Frank's Basement Systems for answers.
Solution
The solution was pretty simple: a CleanSpace encapsulation system. The patented components of the system will work to keep the crawl space dry for at least 25 years.
The first component is the SmartPipe interior drainage. SmartPipe will catch and trap groundwater and help to prevent flooding or standing water.
Next is the CleanSpace dimpled drainage matting. The dimples of the drainage matting allow water to flow freely underneath and into the SmartPipe.
After the drainage matting is installed, a heavy duty, anti-microbial CleanSpace vapor barrier is installed. This vapor barrier will stop moist air from reaching the structure of the church as well as prevent mold growth.
The final component is the TripleSafe sump pump system. This system includes a 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 horsepower sump pump. These pumps will work on their own or together in the event of heavy rain, melt off, or power outage to evacuate all water out of the crawl space.
