New Concrete Does What?!
If Frank's Basement Systems was in your home, there's a very good chance we poured some new concrete. Whether we installed a TripleSafe sump pump system, a dozen SmartJacks, WaterGuard interior drainage, or repaired a crack with FlexiSpan, we had to break your basement's concrete floor and replace it when we were done.
After your project was completed and your basement was cleaned by our crew and put back the way it was, you notice water droplets on your new concrete! You start to panic the concrete isn't dry. What now?
Don't sweat.
A common misconception is that concrete "dries" like paint. The truth is, it "cures" and becomes hard as the mixture's crystals form and expand. In order for the crystals to have room to expand, water must be forced out of the mixture. This is your concrete's "sweat". It is a totally normal process that will go away on its own.
